Dr. Michael Picciano

Dr. Michael PiccianoDr. Michael J. Picciano is a life-long resident of Canastota. After graduating from Canastota High School, in 1981 he went on to pursue his education. As an undergraduate, Michael received his B.S. Biology, Magna cum Laude from LeMoyne College in 1985. He then continued his education by receiving his medical degree from SUNY Health Science Center in 1989. He completed his family practice residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.

From 1997-2004, Michael was one of the founding members and on the Board of Directors of Syracuse Health, IPA. He practiced as a family physician at the North Medical Center from 1988-1999. He also is a founding partner of the CNY Family Care, LLP in East Syracuse from 1999 to the present. Michael is affiliated with American Academy of Family Physicians, New York State Medical Society and the Onondaga County Medical Society. He is an Associate Clinical Professor at SUNY Health Science Center, in Syracuse, NY and Attending Physician at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center, also in Syracuse.

His community services consists of being on the Town of Lincoln Planning Board from 2002-Picciano Graduation2006, Golden Glove Boxing NYS Medical Director from 1993-1999, a Canastota Little League coach from 2008 to present, Canastota Pop Warner Medical Coverage from 1991 to present and coach from 2008 to present.

Dr. Picciano is the son of the late Mary (Argentine) and John Picciano. Dr. Picciano and his family are residents of Canastota.
