Gary Hall

Gary HallGary spent his early years in Canastota and graduated from Canastota High School in 1962. He played football and was part of the Tri-Valley League Champion Team in 1962.
He received his B.A. from Syracuse University in 1966 and an M.A. from the University of Connecticut in 1968 and J.D. from the George Washington University National Law Center in 1974.

Gary was formerly United States Attorney for Northern California and prior to that Assistant District Attorney for Alameda County, also in California. Upon returning to Syracuse, Gary joined Smith Sovik Law Firm and later was a partner in Blitman and King, specializing in labor and employment law. Gary also was Chief Counsel for the NBA Players Association,
He was a United States Marine veteran, serving as a commissioned officer from 1968-1971, during the Vietnam War.

Gary also devoted much of his time to giving speeches, on law, to schools in his area when heGary Hall Graduation lived in California and Syracuse. In Gary’s spare time, he enjoyed playing his saxophone, guitar and piano. He also enjoyed golfing, photography, spending time with family, friends and adored his dog, a Saint Bernard.

His siblings Jacqueline Harrell Hall, Tina Harrell and Brian K. Hall Sr. also graduated from Canastota High School.
