8th-grade students recently attended the Canastota High School Electives Roadshow. The presentation aimed to inform them about the various elective courses available during their four-year high school careers. The presentation highlighted the significance of electives and gave an overview of the options offered. Many of these electives offer college credits to the students.
Some available options include art electives like sculpture and ceramics, music electives such as senior band and women's ensemble, English electives like creative writing and film study, CTE courses through MOBOCES, and other electives in Spanish, math, health, and PE. These electives allow students to earn almost two years of free college credits.
Grades 9-11 will participate in this presentation this week, as a refresher to all these opportunities as well!
