Q: What is PAC? Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)
A: PAC stands for the Parent Advisory Council. The PAC is made up of parents and guardians of children at any grade level within the school district. This group works with the administrative team and Connected Community Schools to support students, staff, and families within the district.
Q: What does PAC do?
A: In collaboration with Canastota School District Administration, PAC works to brainstorm new ideas that can help solve large scale problems that our students face on a daily basis. PAC also helps suggest new evening activities for families to attend.
Q: Why should you join?
A: Do you want to make an impact on your child’s life in school? Do you have ideas of what could be done to improve students’ lives on campus? Do you want to bring people together and solidify a common ground between your child’s building and where they will be going next? These reasons and more can all be motivators for you to join us.
Q: How can you join?
A: All you have to do is attend a meeting to be involved. There is no membership paperwork or cost required to have your voice and ideas heard here.
Q: When can I start attending meetings?
A: PAC Meetings are once a month at a minimum, please follow the calendar HERE for updated events.
