The Canastota Central School District, like countless schools around the state, have been informed that there will be a supply issue with individual pint sized milk cartons. As a result, the District will be receiving milk in gallon and/or half gallon containers and cafeteria staff members will be pouring milk into cups. Along with the carton supply issue, there is also a shortage of eight ounce cups.
As a result, each student will receive two, four ounce cups with lids for the duration of the milk carton shortage. All of the milk we currently serve in cartons - one percent white milk, fat free white milk, and fat free chocolate, will continue to be served at school. We want to assure you that students will still be able to have access to milk as they always have in our schools. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate through this unexpected and unprecedented challenge.
Thank you!
