PARENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
UPCOMING PAC MEETINGS:
UP AND COMING EVENT LIST
WHAT IS PAC?
PAC stands for the Parent Advisory Council. The PAC is made up of parents and guardians of children at any grade level within the school district. This group works with the administrative team and Connected Community Schools to support students, staff, and families within the district.
WHAT DOES PAC DO?
In collaboration with Canastota School District Administration, PAC works to brainstorm new ideas that can help solve large scale problems that our students face on a daily basis. PAC also helps suggest new evening activities for families to attend.
WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN?
Do you want to make an impact on your child’s life in school? Do you have ideas of what could be done to improve students’ lives on campus? Do you want to bring people together and solidify a common ground between your child’s building and where they will be going next? These reasons and more can all be motivators for you to join us.
HOW CAN YOU JOIN?
All you have to do is attend a meeting to be involved. There is no membership paperwork or cost required to have your voice and ideas heard here.
WHEN CAN YOU START?
PAC Meetings are once a month at a minimum, please watch the school website and your email for updates on times.
PAC MEMBERS WANTED
Being a part of the PAC Committee allows you to have a voice and be a part of making a difference, as well as helping to bring new and innovative programs or events to your child's school. Do you want to make an impact on your child’s life in school? Do you have ideas of what could be done to improve students’ lives on campus? We would love to hear them. The PAC is looking for new members on our growing committee! We are looking for parents of students in grades Pre-K through 12, as we want to build a unified front while we look to enhance the student experience here in Canastota. This is your opportunity to have your voice heard, and for you to make a difference. Please keep an eye out for meeting updates and schedules, as some meetings are subject to change due to weather and other conflicts. If you have any questions or would like more information, please reach out to Will Lamont at 315-737-3773.
