Wrapping up Dental Health Awareness Month (February), Dr. Modgil and his team visited our PSES and SSES students to discuss dental hygiene. They explained the process of a dental visit, from sitting in the big chair to getting teeth checked for cavities and cleaned. Dr. Modgil emphasized the importance of maintaining healthy teeth and shared tips on how to prevent cavities by keeping sugar bugs away. They also spoke about the significance of flossing and changing toothbrushes every six months and after being sick.

During the assembly, students had the opportunity to ask questions, and Dr. Modgil's team taught them how to do the floss dance and chant "floss is boss" and "plaque is whack." The students had a great time and learned a lot about dental health.

Canastota Connected Community Schools Site Coordinator, Jessica did an excellent job coordinating this event for our schools, and we thank Dr. Modgil and his team for their informative and enjoyable presentation!
